Control and Alan Wake developer Remedy has announced the signing of a new agreement with Epic Games’ new publishing label. The company will publish two Remedy-developed games, due on PC and next-gen consoles in the next few years. The first is a AAA game Remedy calls its most ambitious to date, currently in pre-production. The second is a smaller-scale project set in the same universe. Remedy did not name the franchise in question....

Multiple award-winning Control is free right now on the Epic Games Store until June 17. This is just the standard edition of the game, not the Ultimate Edition. In the supernatural third-person action-adventure game, you play Jesse who is trying to navigate an “ever-changing” world full of strange and unexplained events caused by an otherworldly threat. In the game, you will use a combination of supernatural abilities, modifiable loadouts, and reactive environments in your quest to take on the invading enemy....

Cloud versions of Control Ultimate Edition and Hitman 3 were announced for Switch, with Control out today. Control Ultimate Edition contains all the expansions, including the AWE expansion. A release date for Hitman 3 was not provided, but the game isn’t out until January 20. This will be the first time a Hitman game will be made available on a Nintendo platform. This is the final game in the sandbox assassin sim, wrapping up the overarching story....

A new bug has been found in Cyberpunk 2077 that is permanently corrupting save games. The error appears to be linked to save files that are ballooning in size. While much has been made of the poor console versions of Cyberpunk 2077, the PC version has largely come out of the discourse in a good position. It appears that if you have a gaming rig powerful enough to play it at its best settings, Cyberpunk can be a (relatively) stable experience....

People who bought the console versions of CD Projekt’s Cyberpunk 2077 are seemingly being allowed to keep the game even after they’ve been refunded. That’s according to Vice, which reports that consumers who requested a refund for the disastrous console versions of the eagerly-anticipated but somewhat-broken RPG have been given their money back – largely via PayPal – but still, have access to the eagerly-anticipated but somewhat-broken RPG. The deadline for requesting a refund was December 21, 2020....

Dead by Daylight developer Behaviour Interactive has announced that the game is in development for PS5 and Xbox Series X. Existing owners will be able to upgrade within the same console family, without losing any progress. The developer is also working on a project it called The Realm Beyond, which encompasses big upgrades to lighting, animations, visuals and the overall quality of the image. All of these improvements will be arrive in patches beginning September 8, and continue all the way through fall 2021 - the game’s fifth anniversary....

The Forged in Fog chapter introduced new Killer, The Knight, and survivor, Vittorio Toscano to the game. And this brand-new Tome serves to tell more medieval-themed tales surrounding them. Kojima Productions has revealed that since its release in 2019, Death Stranding has sold 5 million units across PC and PS4. The figure refers to copies sold to consumers, not shipped, as of March 2021. Jay Boor, Kojima Productions’ head of publishing, broke the news in a GamesIndustry.biz interview. “From a sales perspective, it has performed quite well,” Boor said. He also revealed that Kojima Productions has expanded slightly since the game’s release....

The developer announced February 27, 2023 as the last day anyone will be able to play the online action RPG, meaning Babylon’s Fall will have lasted less than a year since its release in March this year. “With the desire of delivering an exhilarating online multiplayer action RPG set in an elaborate high fantasy world, we launched the game’s official service on Thursday, March 3, 2022, and have continued to undertake additional development and operations,” said PlatinumGames in an official statement....
