The news comes from a string of tweets posted by Wario64, the first of which states that several delisted Xbox 360 games have been relisted for Xbox One. Check out the tweets below, which speculate on why this resurgence of previously unavailable games has happened, and feature details of the games confirmed to have been relisted so far. “I’m guessing Microsoft is working on some backend BC [backwards compatibility] stuff in preparation for Xbox Series X but not sure if they intended to relist some delisted BC games,” wrote Wario64. “Megaton feature though: we can use our Microsoft credit on Xbox BC games without having to use an Xbox 360, finally.” Wario64 went on to list the games Xbox One players can now purchase, all of which were unobtainable until now. The list includes Deadly Premonition, Dirt 3, Fuel, Grid 2, Midnight Club LA, Overlord, Pure, Silent Hill Downpour, and Tom Clancy’s HAWX. “If you do buy, note it will likely not give an X[box] 360 license,” Wario64 concluded.
You can view the relisted games for yourself on the official Microsoft Store. If the list includes something you loved on the Xbox 360, you’ll be able to buy it for your Xbox One. Most of the games - which are several years old - are reasonably priced, although Tom Clancy’s HAWX is $60 for some reason. In related news, we’re going to hear more about the Xbox Series X later this month. As well as relisting its older games, Xbox is successfully promoting its newer ones, too - Grounded is already a Steam bestseller, having already attracted over one million players. That’s not the most important Xbox news, though. While all of this has been going on, Xbox boss Phil Spencer straight up said that Craig the Brute is the new official Xbox mascot. Amazing.
