That’s what Sony has to say of tonight’s CES event. The Sony CES 2020 press conference will be streamed live from Las Vegas today at 5pm PST - or 1am BST tomorrow morning for those of you across the pond. And you’ll be able to catch it all here. So what exactly can be expected? Right now the electronics giant is remaining tight-lipped about what we’re likely to see during the show. Its official website promises to unveil a “unique vision of the future” - “bringing creativity and technology together like never before, to unleash new sensations and emotions.” So could a PlayStation 5 reveal be on the cards?
The PS5 will be released in time for this Christmas which means that Sony is likely to announce a solid release date in the not too distant future. Photos of the leaked PS5 dev kit started doing the rounds back in October and it was confirmed that they were the same design feature in patents uncovered last August. It has also been confirmed that the PS5 will be backwards-compatible with PS4 games. For now we’ll have to wait and see. While CES isn’t traditionally particularly games-centric, this is Sony’s first chance to make a big announcement this year. As usual, keep your eyes on VG247 for all of the news out of the show.
